Industrial electronics and IoT, secure by design and connected to Odoo.

ADN designs and supplies industrial electronics, integrates sensors and gateways, and connects field data to Odoo. Because we also work in cybersecurity, devices and data paths are designed to recognised security baselines from the first prototype.

01Services

Four services along one data path

Services can be engaged separately, from a single interface board to a complete sensor-to-ERP system.

01

Custom PCB design and assembly

I/O and interface boards for process controllers and industrial equipment, from schematic to assembled and tested board.

Deliverables

  • Requirements and interface specification
  • Schematic and PCB layout (2-layer FR4 as standard)
  • Bill of materials with sourcing options
  • Assembled and functionally tested boards
  • Design files handed over to the client

02

Sensor integration and telemetry

Selection and integration of sensors and edge gateways, using industrial protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP and OPC UA, with MQTT for transport.

Deliverables

  • Signal and protocol inventory
  • Edge gateway configuration
  • Telemetry data model
  • Commissioning checklist and records

03

Integration with Odoo

Field data connected to Odoo Manufacturing, Maintenance and Inventory through the Odoo IoT Box or the Odoo API, with workflow automation for work orders and alerts.

Deliverables

  • Integration design
  • Odoo configuration for connected devices
  • Automated actions, for example maintenance requests triggered by thresholds
  • Dashboards and alert routing

04

IoT and OT security assessment and hardening

Assessment and hardening of devices, gateways and industrial networks against recognised IoT and OT security baselines.

Deliverables

  • Asset inventory and zone and conduit model
  • Device and firmware security review
  • Network segmentation recommendations
  • Risk-rated findings and hardening plan

02Data path

From sensor to Odoo, secured at each boundary

The reference architecture below is the starting point for most projects. It is adapted to the protocols, network and Odoo modules already in place.

03Why one team

Security and business integration from the start

IoT projects often stall between a working prototype and a system the business can use. The device works, but its data does not reach the ERP, or it cannot pass a security review.

ADN handles electronics, security and Odoo in one team. Security requirements are set at the design stage, and the data model is agreed with the ERP team before the first board is produced.

04Methodology

Engagement model

Each stage ends with a review. The project proceeds to the next stage only when the agreed criteria are met.

  1. Discovery

Process, signals, environment and constraints are documented. Security and integration requirements are agreed.

  2. Prototype

A working prototype of the board or data path is built and tested on the bench.

  3. Pilot

A limited deployment runs on site. Data quality, reliability and integration with Odoo are measured.

  4. Production

Boards are produced and installed, gateways are configured, and the system is commissioned with records.

  5. Support

Optional support covers spares, firmware updates, monitoring and periodic security review.

06Case study

Industrial I/O boards for an automation manufacturer

ADN supplies industrial I/O boards to an industrial automation manufacturer in Cikarang, used as the interface between field signals and the manufacturer’s process controllers.

  • I/O and interface boards for process controllers
  • Two-layer FR4 PCB design
  • Component assembly and functional testing before delivery

The client is not named, in line with our confidentiality commitments.
